Professional Career
In 2009, the Arizona Diamondbacks selected him in the first round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft and he was invited in spring training in 2010. He made his debut as a pinch hitter for Justin Upton on April 18, 2012. On April 23 they played against the Phillies where he collected his first career MLB hit, a single. He played a total of 31 games that season batting .247 with two home runs and eight RBIs
A.J. Pollock hit .269 with 8 home runs and 38 RBIs in the course of 137 games in 2013. The second half of 2014 season he missed to play due to an injury.
