Alan Ruck Biography
Alan Ruck (Alan Douglas Ruck) is an American actor born on 1st July 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. He is well known for his role as Cameron Frye, the best friend of Ferris Bueller, in John Hughes’s 1986 film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Alan attended Parma Senior High School in Parma, Ohio and graduated with a a B.F.A. in drama in 1979 from University of Illinois. In 1985 he made his Broadway debut in Neil Simon’s Biloxi Blues. He played at many many theaters around the country, including Wisdom Bridge Theatre in Chicago.
In 1983 he made his film debut in the film Bad Boys where he played Carl Brennan. In the same year he played Roger Jackson in Class. Since then he has played in many films and television shows.

Cameron has hatred for his parents as his mother and father are always fighting causing him to be emotionally disturbed. At the end of the film he destroys his father’s car and gains his confidence back.
Alan Ruck Death
Alan Ruck is still alive but in 2016 on ‘Oprah: Where Are They Now?’ he revealed that he had a health crisis that blindsided him and nearly left him with brain damage in 2001.
He said that he collapsed in his apartment after feeling “like I had the worst flu of my life … this headache that wouldn’t quit. The next thing I know, I’m hearing ‘5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Happy New Year!’ And I was Nyack Hospital in Nyack New York with tubes coming out of everything, and I was sick as a dog.”
He was diagnosed with Streptococcal Type G infection, which causes bacteria in the blood stream. The disease had made its way to his brain and caused stroke – like symptoms and the doctors were worried he might not recover from the disease.
“The first two days they told my ex-wife [Claudia Stefany] that ‘He’s going to die.’ And then they were like, ‘No, he’s hanging in there, but he’s not going to have all his marbles.’ I came around. [I was] just lucky.”
