Alanna Autler Biography
Alanna Autler is an American award-winning investigative journalist and reporter who recently joined the CBS 11 News i-Team in October 2018. She joined CBS after her departure from WSMV-TV in Nashville, where she spent four years as an investigative reporter. Autler’s feature series on how vulnerable students are mistreated influencing a change on state law.

The investigative reporter earned her degree in journalism from Northwestern University. She is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
Chemical Leak Story
Before Music City, Autler worked as a multimedia journalist in Charleston, W.Va. She led her station’s coverage of a massive chemical leak in 2014, devoting countless hours to investigating a contamination that left 300,000 people without clean drinking water. Highlighting the lack of government oversight played a part in community-driven changes following the disaster.

Alanna Autler Engaged| Husband| Dave Boucher
Autler’s is married to Dave Boucher, an investigative reporter for the Dallas Morning News. He was previously at The Tennessean-A Nashville newspaper syndicate. The couple tied the knot on Oct. 14, 2017. The couple reside in Texas with their dog, Sophie.
Alanna Autler Joins CBS 11
The reporter joined KTVT/Channel 11 as a consumer investigative reporter in 2018. Autler joined as part of the CBS 11 News I-Team that also features news reporter Ginger Allen. The reporter replaces part of a CBS 11 couple-former weekend-evening anchor Dan Haggerty who is married to former consumer investigative reporter Cristin Severance.

She is also noted for playing a key role in reporting the spring’s shooting at a local Waffle House that left four customers dead. Four people were killed and in which a young man named James Shaw Jr. was credited with preventing more deaths and injuries after he confronted the shooter and managed to snatch the gun away from him.
