Allie Spillyards is an American reporter. She is joined NBCDFW in October 2017. She’s a general assignment reporter who often works out of Dallas or Collin County. You can catch her stories on NBC 5 at 10 p.m. Spillyards started her career at WVLT in Knoxville, TN as a general assignment reporter.

Allie is a married woman. She is married to her wife Blake Hanson. Spillyards and Blake met as journalism students at the University of Missouri. After dating during their senior year of college, the pair moved off to different cities to start their respective careers as news anchors.
For the next two years, the couple spent many weekends driving nine hours one way between Knoxville, Tennessee (where Allie lived), and New Orleans (where Blake lived). Finally, the pair got themselves to the same area — Charlotte, North Carolina — where they live now.
Blake popped the question in front of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool during a trip to Washington, D.C. Spillyards and Blake exchanged personal vows in a ceremony overlooking White Rock Lake on April 9, 2016. There are no reports of the couple having any children as of now.
