She is a graduate of Virginia’s Hampton University with Bachelor’s degree in journalism. While studying at the university, she was elected as an inductee member for the Scripps Howard School Journalism Hall of Fame. After completing study in Hampton, Seymour relocated to Columbia to study at the University of South Carolina and receive Master’s degree in Mass Communication.

Allison’s journalism career took off right after she graduated from Hampton. She first went to work behind the scenes at ABC News. After this, she received her first front of the camera job in Utica, New York. After graduating with her Masters, she worked for a couple of companies including; Trucker TV where she worked as a Production Assistant and Writer. She then got a job offer that saw her move to Binghamton, New York & working for WBNG-TV.
It was in the summer of 1999 that Allison was offered an opportunity to work with WTTG and over the years she worked as a general assignment reporter for the evening news, a health reporter, noon and a midday anchor as well!
Currently, she is an anchor for FOX 5 News Morning and Good Day DC.

Allison Seymour and Mark Clarke
Seymour is contentedly married to radio host husband Marc Clarke for almost two decades now. Their long romantic history started from a television station in Saint Louis where the two first met each other. It didn’t take a long time for the couple to fall in love with each other and after years of secret romance, Allison finally got engaged to Marc in a small ceremony in 1999.
Within a year after the engagement, the duo tied the knot and since then they have been inseparable with immense love and compassion for each other. The couple is presently living a blissful marital life along with their three daughters.
