Anthony Watts is an American broadcast meteorologist (former television meteorologist and a current radio meteorologist). He is also a blogger and business owner, he is a popular figure in the climate change denial movement.

Additionally, he is also an editor of the blog known as “Watts Up With That?”. Anthony is the founder of the Surface Stations Project a volunteer initiative to document the siting quality of weather stations across the United States of America.

The former TV meteorologist is best known as the founder and editor of the blog Watts Up With That (WUWT), which basically publishes articles critical of mainstream climate change science. In the year 2019, Anthony joined the “Heartland Institute” as a Senior Fellow. It is a think tank proudly at the forefront of promoting doubt about climate change.

The broadcast meteorologist is the director and president of IntelliWeather Inc., a weather graphics company which is also known as Innovative Tech Works (ITWorks), and Weathershop. Watts also founded Surfacestations.org, a project with the stated purpose of documenting the siting quality of weather stations in the United States.

Prior to that, he has worked as an on-air meteorologist for WLFI–TV in Lafayette, Indiana, and later joined KHSK–TV in 1987. In 2002, Watts left his position as a television weatherman to devote time to his private business, ITWorks. Then he returned to work part-time at KHSL in the year 2004. From 2002, Watts has been the chief meteorologist for KPAY–AM which is an affiliate station of Fox News.
