Ashley Smith is an American journalist from Chester, West Virginia working for FOX 19 News. She graduated with a B.S in Meteorology from Penn State University.

When Ashley isn’t forecasting the weather, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog “Windy” or training for her latest marathon. She also cheers for the Nittany Lions and the Steelers. (Sorry Bengals fans!)

Smith began at FOX19 NOW as a meteorologist and columnist in September of 2017. Ashley moved to Kirksville, Missouri in May of 2008. There she was the end of the week meteorologist and general task correspondent at KTVO-TV.

In 2010, Ashley moved to Charleston, West Virginia to re-visitation her Mountain State roots. She is initially from Chester, West Virginia, home of the world’s biggest tea kettle!

Ashley went through two years at the end of the week meteorologist at WCHS-TV/Fox 11. During that time she got the West Virginia Associated Press Broadcasters Association grant for Best Weathercaster Runner-Up.

Prior to showing up in Cincinnati, Ashley was the morning meteorologist at WSIL-TV in southern Illinois. Ashley went through almost five years in Carterville encountering significant blizzards, flooding, serious tempests, and cyclones.
