Cameron Diaz, an American actress, comedian, producer, and former fashion model was born Cameron Michelle Diaz on August 30, 1972 in San Diego, California.She is the daughter to Billie, an import/export agent and Emilio who worked for the California oil company Unocal as a foreman.
Diaz grew up in Long Beach and attended Los Cerritos Elementary School then Long Beach Polytechnic High School; with rapper Snoop Dogg.

Cameron Diaz has her career kick off at the tender age of 16 where she worked in ad campaigns for Calvin Klein and Coca-Cola.Diaz continued with modelling till the age of 21 where Diaz auditioned for The Mask playing the sultry smooth jazz singer Tina Carlyle.Having no previous acting experience, she started acting lessons after being cast. The Mask became one of the top ten highest-grossing films of 1994.
After the success of The Mask, Diaz was touted as the next big thing in Hollywood and wooed by a number of prominent filmmakers to appear in their projects.She landed leading roles in the independent films The Last Supper, Feeling Minnesota, She’s the One and Head Above Water all released in the year 1996.
In 1999, audiences saw two very different sides of Diaz. First, she camouflaged her blond beauty to play a dowdy pet-shop worker and puppeteer’s wife in the much talked-about existential comedy Being John Malkovich. Later that year, she turned in a brazen performance as the glamorous, hard-nosed new owner of a professional football team in Oliver Stone’s Any Given Sunday.
In 2001, she voiced Princess Fiona in the movie Shrek, for which she earned $10 million. Then in 2002, she was featured in the romantic comedy The Sweetest Thing as well as Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York, co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
Cameron’s next projects included Knight and Day in 2010, again co-starring Tom Cruise, and the comic book adaptation The Green Hornet in 2011, in which she plays the resourceful secretary of the masked hero.She also took up the lead role in 2011’s Bad Teacher and featured as part of the cast of 2012’s What To Expect When You’re Expecting and Gambit.

She starred in ‘There’s Something About Mary’ which was ranked 27th in the American Film Institute’s list of ‘100 Years, 100 Laughs: America’s Funniest Movies’. It was also the highest grossing film of 1998 and earned $369 million worldwide.

In May 2014 Diaz began dating Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden and in an unexpected move, the pair tied the knot on January 5, 2015 at Diaz’ Beverly Hills home.Drew Barrymore and Nicole Richie were two of her bridesmaids, along with her sister Chimene Cain and assistant Jesse Lutz.
