Dan Winters Biography
Dan Winters is an American journalist working as a news anchor for WHO 13 News. Dan was born on a ranch close to Chariton, IA. He has lived in Marengo, Sioux City, Clarinda, Ames, and presently The Des Moines Metro.
He started his telecom vocation at age 16 at KMA Radio in Shenandoah, IA. After secondary school, he worked all day as an anchorperson/editorial manager for KPRC, the CBS Radio partner, in Houston, TX.
Dan acquired a college degree from Iowa State University’s Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication.
While in school, he functioned as a columnist for KCCI-TV, covering the VEISHEA mob of 2004. Sometime thereafter, Dan was granted “In front of the pack TV Reporting” at the 2004 Hearst Journalism Awards Championship in San Francisco.

Dan talked with President Barack Obama and covered his mission during the 2008 Iowa Caucuses. His Honor-winning interviews have brought about open strategy changes.

” Dan volunteers with Youth Emergency Services and Shelter (YESS) and hosts pledge drives for different causes. He doesn’t let the reality he’s an awful golf player prevent him from attempting.

Eighteen years to the day that he initially joined the WHO 13 newsroom as a correspondent, Dan Winters will express farewell to watchers this evening following a decade of mooring evening reports.
