Pooh who is mostly known for his acting role as “Red” in the first “Friday” movie with Ice Cube. He co-wrote “Friday” and helped with character development. As a legendary record producer and mixing engineer, He has produced albums for 2Pac, Ice Cube, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, LL Cool J, Yo-Yo, Tha Dogg Pound , King Tee, and many more. DJ Pooh provided production for LL Cool J’s second album, Bigger and Deffer in 1986-1987. The album was certified double-platinum. In 1995, He also produced 2Pac’s All Eyez on Me. The album is certified diamond. in 1996, he also provided the bulk of the production for Snoop Dogg’s second album, Tha Doggfather. The album is certified double-platinum. To make matters worse, rent is due, he hates his overbearing girlfriend, Joi (Paula Jai Parker), and his best friend, Smokey (Chris Tucker), owes the local drug dealer money — and that’s all before lunch.
