Elizabeth Falkner is cake culinary chef and proprietor of Citizen Cake which is a mixed pastry shop in San Francisco in the United States. She has been a guest judge on a reality television show on Bravo network called “Top Chef”. Elizabeth has also competed on Iron Chef America, Tyler’s Ultimate, Sugar Rush, Bay Cafe, Top Chef-Pastry and others.

Chef Elizabeth is known for her San Francisco restaurants namely Citizen Cake and Orson which she closed up  and moved to New York. While in New York, she opened two Italian restaurants; Krescendo in Boerum Hill Brooklyn and Corvo Bianco on the Upper West Side. Her style of cooking is Pioneering American, Italian, Mediterranean, breads, Neapolitan Pizza, Pastries, Cakes, and California.

After she graduated, she started her career in 1990 as the chef at a French Bistro Cafe Claude and later moved into French fine dining at Masa’s with Chef Julian Serrano. In 1993, Elizabeth became the pastry chef at Elka in the Miyako Hotel, it was not long before she moved to Drew Nieporent’s Rubicon where s beacame the pastry chef under the supervision of Chef Traci Des Jardins in 1994

Elizabeth opened Citizen Cake in 1997 in the South of Market district of San Francisco. She later started teaching professional pastry courses in Japan from 2001 to 2002 and in 2002 to 2003, Elizabeth became the chef on a team doing research for American and European pastries for Barilla in Parma Italy.

She has been a guest judge on a reality television show on Bravo network called “Top Chef” in 2006. In 2005, Elizabeth competed on Iron Chef America, Tyler’s Ultimate, Sugar Rush, Bay Cafe, Top Chef-Pastry and $40 a Day. She has also cooked at the renowned James Beard House in New York City the Masters of Food and Wine in Carmel and the Chef’s Holiday at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park. Later,she opened two Italian restaurants; Krescendo in Boerum Hill Brooklyn and Corvo Bianco on the Upper West Side.

Elizabeth is currently working on a memoir, motivational speaking, competing, participating in coookingindustry events like the International Chefs Congress.
