Perez graduated from the University of Idaho in May 2017 with a degree in broadcasting and digital media from the College of Journalism and Mass Media. Before working at KBOI, Jazlyn was an intern for the University of Idaho Extension offices in Caldwell creating digital and video content for 4-H and Idaho Healthy Living. Her interest for editing started off at Centennial High school in Boise where she was a member of KCTV, a student run news channel. She was able to participate and develop her skills through anchoring, reporting, producing and editing for four years.
