Jill Marie Jones (Jill Marie) is an American actress and also a former professional dancer and cheerleader. Jones is best known for her played a role as Antoinette “Toni” Childs–Garrett on the UPN comedy series, Girlfriends from 2000 to 2006. Jones has appeared in a number of films and had the recurring role as Cynthia Irving on the Fox supernatural series, Sleepy Hollow.

From 2015 to 2016, she starred as Amanda Fisher in the Starz horror-comedy series, Ash vs Evil Dead. Before fame, Jill studied at Texas Woman’s University, and worked as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and also a model after her graduation.

Back in 2000, Jones made her screen debut, on the Saturday morning series City Guys. Later that year (2000), Jill won the co-leading role alongside Tracee Ellis Ross, Golden Brooks including Persia White on the UPN comedy series, Girlfriends which was generated by Mara Brock Akil.

She played the role of self-centered and a materialistic Toni Childs for six seasons of the series. In May 2006, it was confirmed that her contract ended on Girlfriends and she left. In an interview the following year (2007), Jones responded saying she didn’t think if Toni came back and when she says no she means it claiming there are still brilliant writers on ‘Girlfriends.

For herself and her career, Jone’s contract was up after six seasons and there’s a whole film world that she wanted to experience and that’s what she had been doing. Jones says she thought if Toni came back to the show, there would be so much more to write about and much more to bring. That was a testament to how great Mara and the rest of the writers are.

After leaving Girlfriends, Jones started starring in films. She owned the female leading roles in comedy films Universal Remote and Redrum both in 2007, and still appeared in The Perfect Holiday, opposite Queen Latifah and also in Terrence Howard as well as Morris Chestnut, Rachel True, and Gabrielle Union. In August the same year (2007), Jones filmed Major Movie Star together with Jessica Simpson.

In September 2008, Jones appeared in the Ne-Yo video for “She Got Her Own” which is a remix to its hit single “Miss Independent”. She then next appeared in the 2010 music video “Got Your Back” starring T.I. ft. Keri Hilson. Jones also guest-starred alongside Laura Harring in the 2009 independent film Drool.

In the following year, 2010, Jones had the main role in the TBS micro-series, Gillian in Georgia. In the year 2013, she appeared on the second season of FX series, an American Horror Story in the episode “Spilt Milk” as a call girl who was named Pandora.

Later the same year, Jones was portrayed in the recurring role as Cynthia Irving in the Fox supernatural drama series, Sleepy Hollow. In February 2015, Starz announced that Jones was portrayed in the main role as Michigan State Trooper Amanda Fisher in the comedy-horror series Ash vs Evil Dead.

The Cast Of ‘Girlfriends’ Wants To Do A Movie Based On The Sitcom, According To Jill Marie-Jones

It’s been a decade since the hit show Girlfriends stopped airing. The popular show, which starred Tracee Ellis Ross, Persia White, Golden Brooks and Jill Marie-Jones, has become a fan favoriteDespite being off the air, that hasn’t stopped one of its leading ladies from dropping hints about a much-needed reunion between the four actresses.

During a new interview with The Breakfast Club,  actress Jill Marie-Jones aka Toni Childs spilled some tea regarding whether there could be a Girlfriends movie in the future.

“We all want to do it,” she said. ” I think it’s a timing thing and also the legal stuff. When you sell a script you don’t actually own it anymore so whatever CBS and Paramount want to do.”

Jones mentioned news of a possible Girlfriends reunion while promoting her new show Monogamy with fellow co-stars Blue Kimble, Brian White and Vanessa Simmons.
