In 2005, Swanberg coordinated his first element film, Kissing on the Mouth, for an unobtrusive spending plan. He tailed it with LOL (2006), which denoted Swanberg’s first time working with entertainer Greta Gerwig. The next year Swanberg shot Happy Christmas, featuring himself, Melanie Lynskey, Lena Dunham, and Anna Kendrick from Drinking Buddies. This was the first of his movies to be shot on 16mm film, as opposed to advanced. The film debuted at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. His next movie as the executive is Digging for Fire, which debuted at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and stars Jake Johnson. The film was discharged on August 21, 2015, by The Orchard.
