Jonah Hill (Jonah Hill Feldstein) is an American actor, producer, screenwriter and comedian born on 20th December 1983 in Los Angeles, U.S. He is popular for his role on The Wolf of Wall Street for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Hill made his film debut in ‘I Heart Huckabees’. While in college, he used to write his own plays and perform them in the Black and White bar in the East Village neighborhood of New York City. He was befriended by Rebecca and Jake, Dustin Hoffman’s children, who introduced him to Hoffman. Hoffman asked him to audition for a role in ‘I Heart Huckabees’ which he got.

After his film debut in I Heart Huckabees he made a brief appearance in ‘ The 40-Year-Old Virgin’ which lead to him appearing in the comedy Grandma’s Boy (2006) and was featured in comedies Accepted and Click, playing Adam Sandler’s character’s son in the latter film.

He had his first leading role in ‘Superbad’ alongside Michael Cera. The film roles were based on the film writers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. He also starred in Judd Apatow’s third directorial feature, Funny People (2009).

He received his first Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for his performance in the 2011 sports film Moneyball for his role as Peter Brand.
