Lia Kamana Biography
Lia Kamana joined the NBC 25/Fox 66 News team as a reporter in September 2019. Originally from Hawaii, Lia is no stranger to the Michigan cold.
She graduated from Michigan State University in 2015 with a degree in broadcast journalism. Eager to catch some games at Spartan Stadium, she decided another stint in the Mitten could be a good thing.

Lia loves experiencing new places, meeting new people, and immersing herself in new cultures, and she is thankful for a career that allows her to do all of that. Prior to being in Flint, Lia has worked in Texas, Wyoming, Arizona, and even abroad in Israel.
She knew she wanted to be a reporter since the fifth grade and has been chasing that dream ever since. Lia has worked for print, broadcast, and digital media platforms. She’s covered youth to professional sports and the 2014 Gaza War.
Outside of work you can find Lia immersed in sports and international news headlines. History is her guilty pleasure and she loves to travel. She also can never turn down a good coffee, so if you have any suggestions on the best place to get a cup in town, let her know!
