Lori Jane Gliha is an ethical, enterprising, award-winning investigative reporter who joined FOX31 in July 2019.
She previously worked as an investigative correspondent at Rocky Mountain PBS, where she reported on the abuse and neglect of vulnerable adults, opioid withdrawal among infants, crimes affiliated with black market marijuana, and the data behind school shootings.
Lori Jane was nominated for a national Emmy for her 30-minute investigation into child sex trafficking in Colorado. The report won a national Gracie Award. Some of her reporting also aired on 9News, CPR, NPR, and PBS NewsHour.
Since coming to Colorado, Lori Jane has been honored by the Heartland chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with a regional Emmy for best investigative reporter and by the Colorado Broadcasters Association as Best Specialty Reporter.
Prior to Rocky Mountain PBS, Lori Jane worked as a national correspondent for Al Jazeera America’s flagship news magazine show, America Tonight, based in Washington, DC.
During her time at AJAM, she reported from more than 30 states and five countries, covering the Flint water crisis, the unrest in Ferguson, MO, the influx of Central American migrants at the border, marijuana laws in Jamaica, and the victims of downed flight MH-17 in the Netherlands.
Lori Jane has also worked at NBC, CBS, and ABC affiliates in Michigan and Arizona during her career.
She received a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California. She graduated Summa cum Laude as the Outstanding Broadcast Journalism Undergraduate. She minored in Spanish.
