Maity Interiano is an American Emmy Winner journalist, entertainment reporter and television producer in the Univision Network morning show Despierta America.
Maity Interiano is an entertainment journalist and producer known for her work on Univision’s Despierta America program. She travelled to Brazil in 2013 to provide news coverage of the World Cup. While working for an entertainment program called Escandalo TV, she covered the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

After graduating in 2006 from Elon University in North Carolina she started to work as an associate producer and reporter in Escandalo TV and was producing a weekly segment called “Vamos al Cine” until October 2011. Interiano has covered Premios Juventud, Premio Lo Nuestro, Latin Grammy, Nuestra Belleza Latina since 2007.
In April 2011 she covered the Royal Wedding of Principe William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge in London for Escandalo TV, La Tijera in Telefutura Network (now Unimas). In 2012 she covered the Golden Globe for Tómbola, the Oscars for Despierta América.
In 2011 she participated in Teletón México in Telefutura Network and in 2012 in the Teleton United States where she was accompanying the Teleton troop where actor Carlos Ponce was participating. From October 2011 to January 2012 she was in the show Tómbola on Telefutura network (now Unimas) as a reporter.
Maity is currently in the morning show Despierta America in Univision with entertainment coverage, with the “Vamonos al Cine” segment and interviewing international artists like Vin Diesel, Tony Bennett, Johnny Depp, Antonio Banderas, Cameron Diaz and many more. In June 2013 she went to Brazil to do the entertainment notes that came out in Univision Deportes during the 15 days of the world Confederations Cup.

For the last seven years, she has served as Univision’s red carpet correspondent for “Premios Juventud,” “Premio Lo Nuestro,” and the “Latin GRAMMY® Awards.” She is also actively involved in educational campaigns such as “Es el Momento” and fundraiser Teleton USA and Honduras.
Maity graduated in 2007 with a major in Broadcast Communications from Elon University in North Carolina and in 2012 was recognized with Elon University’s “Top 10 under 10.”
She is a member and alum of Univision’s Women Leadership Academy where she serves as co-chair of the Admissions Committee and has served as a guest speaker at events and panels such as ALPFA Convention in Dallas and Las Vegas, ColorComm in Miami and Mujeres Líderes de Honduras.
She is a true believer and passionate about helping the Latin community, especially her home country of Honduras. She donates her time to Fundación Amor y Vida in Honduras, the home of 33 orphans affected by HIV/AIDS.
