Marissa Bagg is an American journalist working as a reporter for NBC6. She is a Miami native and loves working in her hometown.

She attended The South Miami High School of the Arts. After high school, she went to the University of Florida where she studied Telecommunication News with a minor in French.

She is a big fan of her home team, the Miami Hurricanes as well as her alma mater, the Florida Gators. She has a sister, Julia Bragg, also working at NBC6

Her first broadcast took her across the country all through to New Mexico, Texas and Washington D.C. She then returned to South Florida as a reporter with WPTV in West Palm Beach.

Marissa was awarded an Edward R. Murrow Regional Award and she has also been nominated for an Emmy Award. She has traveled to report on Hurricanes, massive floods, and other natural disasters.

In 2012, she reported on the final Presidential Debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. Marissa also covered the opening of an orphanage that was built in honor of a Lynn University student who was killed in the 2010 earthquake. A story that has continued to influence her work today.
