McKenzi is a Colorado native from Denver. McKenzi moved to Kansas to study at the University of Kansas. While at KU, she studied many different majors before finding a passion for journalism. While in school, she worked as a reporter and co-anchor for her school’s TV station.
McKenzi is a William Allen White School of Journalism graduate, with a minor in African and African American Studies.
Outside of work McKenzi is a homebody who enjoys cuddling with her dog, Vance, watching baking tutorials and finding the best internet memes. McKenzi enjoys telling heart felt, human interest stories.
She is excited to learn more about Northeast Kansas, especially Topeka.
