Melissa Fumero Biography
Melissa Fumero is an American actress and she was born on August 19th, 1982 in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. She is best known for her role as Amy Santiago on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Adriana Cramer on One Life to Live.
Her parents are Cuban and they moved to the USA when Melissa was still a teenager. She graduated from New York University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama.
Melissa Fumero Career
The subsequent on-screen character to depict Adriana on One Life to Live, Fumero joined the arrangement on January 20, 2004. Adriana is the missing little girl of long-term character Dorian Cramer Lord, depicted on-and-off since 1979 by Daytime Emmy victor Robin Strasser.
Fumero won the job of Adriana on her last day as an understudy at NYU. In late 2007 she chose not to reestablish her agreement with the arrangement, however, stayed on a repetitive status to wrap up Adriana’s storyline that finished up June 11, 2008.
Fumero came back to One Life to Live in September 2008 for a 15-scene run. Fumero did a visitor stretch on OLTL on February 12, 2010, to help introduce the arrival of Kelly Cramer (Gina Tognoni).
Fumero made her big-screen debut as the lead in the 2009 autonomous film Tiny Dancer. In 2010, she showed up in five scenes of The CW’s Gossip Girl as Zoe, one of Blair Waldorf’s followers.
In 2013, she was thrown in Fox/NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Amy Santiago, the female lead inverse Andy Samberg. Fumero made her directorial debut in 2019 when she coordinated the season 6 scene of Brooklyn Nine-Nine “Return of the King”.

She has been playing the role of Detective Amt Santiago in this TV series since 2013. Detective Jake Peralta, a talented and carefree cop with the best arrest record, has never had to follow the rules too closely or work very hard. That changes when Ray Holt, a man with a lot to prove, becomes the new commanding officer of Brooklyn’s 99th precinct.
