Michael Oh is the Executive Director/CEO of the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization, and the president and founder of Christ Bible Seminary in Nagoya, Japan.

Michael Oh Career

Young-Suk Oh is Global Executive Director/CEO of the Lausanne Movement. Before relocating to Deerfield, IL for seminary training at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Oh and his wife, Pearl, were professors in the Philadelphia region. While under Paul Hiebert’s coaching, they got an appeal to the global mission with a specific vision of reaching Japan with the gospel. They served as missionaries in Nagoya in 1998 and 1999 with Mission to the World, in Nagoya, Japan where they planted Chita Zion Church, founded the Open House English School and began an outreach event for young people called Heart & Soul.

The Oh family returned to Japan as missionaries in January 2004 and established CBI Japan. Oh spoke at meetings, churches, and universities around the globe, including Urbana 2009 and Desiring God 2009/2011. Oh first joined the Lausanne movement by taking part in the 2004 World Evangelization Forum in Pattaya, Thailand.

At the 2006 Lausanne Younger Leaders Gathering in Port Dixon, Malaysia, he delivered the keynote address and joined the Lausanne Board in 2007 with a particular focus on developing younger movement leaders. Oh contributed to three books, including 2006 Living and Leading Like Jesus, Finish the Mission and the Global Study Bible of the ESV. He also wrote widely in Seoul, Korea, for Desiring God and Salt and Light Magazine.
