Mike Couzens Biography

Mike Couzens is an American play-by -play broadcaster and journalist for ESPN.
Couzens attended Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.

Couzens began his career working as a Cashier for Piazza Inc. He then began his broadcasting career with Falmouth Commodores and after that, he worked for Cape Cod Basketball Club, WSYR 570 AM, Syracuse Chiefs, WAER 88.3 FM, WJPZ 89.1 FM, Time Warner Cable Sports, DaytonDragons Professional Baseball.

Couzens has also worked with ABC News in 2011 for a month. He joined Sison Broadcasting from October 2011-March 2012 after leaving ABC. He also worked for the Big Ten Network for over a year. He also served as a broadcasting and media relations manager for the Fort Wayne Tincaps.

Couzens is engaged to his girlfriend Erin Beadle. Couzen proposed to Erin at the Carrier Dome during the Syracuse’s game against Notre Dame in January 2018.

Beadle is a graduate from Miami(Ohio) University. The couple met when Mike was doing play-by-play for the Dayton Dragons minor league baseball team.
