Mike is a lifelong weather enthusiast. Originally from California he made Oklahoma City his home at an early age.
He started following weather closely after a big hail storm hit his childhood home in the early 1980’s, causing significant damage to the neighborhood .
Mike has been chasing storms in Oklahoma for over 20 years, with the most memorable being the May 3rd, 1999 Moore tornado. In August 2016, he graduated from the Meteorology program at Mississippi State University.
Mike has been part of the FOX 25 weather team since 2012 and has provided FOX 25 viewers live pictures of tornadoes each spring. He’s also covered major winter storms and wildfires. Mike loves to attend weather events with other FOX 25 staff that teach people about weather safety here in Oklahoma.
