Owen Siebring is the Sports Director for KMEG14 and FOX44. Owen comes to Siouxland from Mankato, MN, but has spent most of his life in the Hawkeye State.
Owen grew up in Albion, IA, and graduated from BCLUW High School. He earned his degree in Electronic Media from the University of Northern Iowa, and considers Cedar Falls his second home.
After college, Owen worked as a photojournalist for KCRG in Cedar Rapids, KWWL in Waterloo, and WBIR in Knoxville, TN. But Owen’s true calling was always the sports department.
He earned his first full time sports position at KEYC in Mankato, MN, and spent 2016 in the freezing cold of Minnesota, before entering the friendly confines of Siouxland.
In Owen’s time between TV jobs, he has spent time doing mission work overseas with Adventures in Missions, based out of Gainesville, GA. Owen has had the pleasure of serving in Europe, SE Asia, southern Africa, and even and even the Middle East, where his sister and her family work full time for a non-profit.
Owen is excited to be back in his home state, and can’t wait to experience all the adventures that Siouxland has to offer.
