Rob Elvington is an American journalist working as a meteorologist for WAAY31 News. Experiencing childhood in North Carolina, Rob was affected by serious tempests, blizzards, and a periodic land-falling tropical storm. Rob and his significant other are getting a charge out of living in Huntsville and investigating the Tennessee Valley.

Perhaps his earliest memory is trimming tools clearing trees brought somewhere around Hurricane Hugo in 1989 in Charlotte, NC. Rob was intrigued by these encounters as a child and this interest in weather conditions lead him to a B.S. in meteorology from North Carolina State University.

After school, Rob went west to KRCR in far northern California. Not at all like the generalization, California really does incidentally see a dynamic and serious climate. One of the most significant obligations in his time in California was following fire-weather patterns all through the fire season.

Rob was live for quite a long time straight covering both the Carr Fire and Camp Fire in 2018. North of 7 fire seasons, he covered many crushing fierce blazes yet the 2018 fire season will remain with him for the remainder of his life.
