Siena Agudong Interview

Interview: Actress Siena Agudong

Source: everlymag.com

Everly Mag loved talking to Siena about Star Falls, Alex & Me, her dream co-stars, her favorite things, and more!

Everly Mag: How did you get your start in acting?

Siena: I started acting when I was around 6 or 7 years old in several local plays. I ended up falling in love with acting and I knew that it was the only thing I wanted to do. I booked my first TV show when I was 8 years old. I played the recurring role of Lulu Parker on an ABC Texas ranger show with Sofia Vergara as the Executive Producer.  The show was called “Killer Women” starring Tricia Helfer and Michael Trucco.

It was truly an amazing experience to book my first role on a TV show. It is a feeling that I will never forget. The cast and crew were so amazing.  It was a pretty incredible first experience for me.

Everly Mag: Tell us about your newest series, Star Falls.

Siena: Star Falls is about a small-town teenager named Sophia Miller, which is the character that I play. She tries everything she can to get her mom set up with a movie star named Craig Brooks. She ends up, in her own sneaky way, persuading the Hollywood family to live in her house.

Sophia and Craig Brooks’ daughter try every scheme they can think of to get their parents together. I cannot get enough of how heartwarming it is, but it is also balanced with a lot of chaos and laughs throughout the season! There are many challenges the two families have to face when they try to live under one roof.

Everly Mag: What’s it like playing Sophia on Star Falls?

Siena: I love playing the role of Sophia, I feel like I’m her in the show and I tend to always mentally take her side in a scene where the characters are disagreeing!

She is an extended version of myself, although I am not as full [of] schemes as she is! Sophia and I are huge animal lovers, though! Sitcom characters are so fun to play because they tend to be very crazy and animated

Everly Mag: What’s it like being on set of Star Falls with the rest of the cast?

Siena: I got so close to the cast of Star Falls.  They are like family to me. We had so many fun and memorable moments on set.

One thing that we all loved was riddles. So, every day in hair and makeup it would be completely silent because we were all pondering on one riddle that was proposed to us as soon as we got in the room. We got so competitive that we decided to keep score. Not to brag or anything, but I dominated that game!

Everly Mag: Tell us about your newest film, Alex & Me!  What was it like when you booked the leading role of Reagan?  What was it like working with Alex Morgan?

Siena: I was so excited when I found out a got the role of Reagan Wills! I have always loved playing soccer but even more so now.

Alex [Morgan] was so incredibly fun to work with, we got so close during filming and had so many fun moments together! It was such an honor to learn so many incredible soccer tips and skills from her that I will always cherish when I am in a game.

Everly Mag: What do you do in your free time?

Siena: When I am not acting, I am hanging out with my family at the beach, playing soccer, or doing parkour.

Everly Mag: What’s your best advice for aspiring young actors?

Siena: Dream big, make it happen, and believe.  If you want something and are ready to make sacrifices for it, then make it happen.

Make sure to surround yourself with great people who will support you because it truly makes a difference.  I could not have done this without my family and amazing team.  Their support has meant so much.

Believe in yourself and your goals, have fun, and remember that overall, this is what you want and love to do!

Everly Mag: What are your hopes and dreams for the future of your career?

Siena: I would absolutely love to be in an action movie or a movie that has a lot of special effects like flying!  Having an opportunity to work with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jack Black, Melissa McCarthy, or Tom Hanks would be so incredible.  I also dream about having the opportunity to work with Steven Spielberg or J.J. Abrams as my director.

Everly Mag: What are the 5 most important things to you?

Siena: God, family, smiling, acting, and making people laugh!

Everly Mag: What’s the best thing about social media?  What’s the worst thing?  How can teens make social media better?

Siena: I think social media is an amazing way to communicate to people from all around the world. That is just so intriguing to me!  However, this wise, amazing, friend was saying something out loud one day that I will never forget.  One of the worst things about social media is when people use it negatively.

It should be a platform for good or inspiration and not to be used as a place to bring people down or show off.  If you are going to post something, let it be to tell your story, not to gloat.

Everly Mag: Finally, tell us some of your favorite things!

Siena: [One] of my favorite things [is] hanging out with my family.  I love playing games with my family!  My sisters, dad, cousins, and uncle are all very competitive, so we love playing the video game Halo together.  We all make a day of it and get so into it that we start trash talking.  I am bad at trash talking, so I always lose that part!

I also love sports in general, especially soccer.  My favorite food is my dad’s Filipino dishes and any kind of Mexican food.  My favorite movie right now is Jumanji.  I am also a Harry Potter fan, but still have a couple movies to catch up on.  I enjoy watching Impractical Jokers, it’s my favorite show.

My favorite color is blue and I cannot get enough of mangoes.

Everly Mag: What else would you like our readers to know?

Siena: Make sure to tune in to “Star Falls” Saturday nights on Nickelodeon 9p/8c and stay tuned for “Alex & Me” coming out this June!

Thank you so much for all your support! Remember to always smile with love and always love with your smile!
