Alysia Burgio Biography

Alysia Burgio joined the NBC 25 and Fox 66 news team in October 2018. Her love for reporting began in high school in her broadcasting class where she had the chance to anchor the morning announcements.

“I used to get in trouble from all my teachers in grade school for talking too much, so I figured I might as well put that talking to good use!” And that she did. Alysia graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in “Broadcast and Cinematic Arts.”

She was involved in many student organizations which landed her internships at WDIV Local 4, the top local news station in Detroit AND an internship at a government access channel in Meridian Township called “HOMTV.” Those experiences landed Alysia her first television reporting gig in Lansing, MI at WLNS TV/6 News.
