Beverly White is an American journalist working as a general assignments reporter for NBC 4 News. She is on air weekly for NBC 4 News at 5 p.m, 6 p.m, and 11 p.m.

Before joining NBC4, White was a journalist at WTVJ, an NBC member in Miami, where she was on the 1992 Peabody Award-winning group that secured Hurricane Andrew, and prior, she tied down the morning weekday report for WKRC-TV in Cincinnati. She started her profession in her home territory of Texas at KCEN-TV, an NBC member in Temple/Waco, and KENS-TV in San Antonio.

White keeps on offering her time and ability to schools and networks and urban gatherings.

She is an individual from the National Association of Black Journalists. White was the past leader of the nearby member section, the Black Journalists Association of Southern California.

I was hired to join the Broward bureau (Fort Lauderdale) but spent much of my time at the “mothership” in Miami. Our coverage of natural disasters peaked with Hurricane Andrew but we handled floods and fires with equal aplomb.

In a nod to the diversity of our audience, WTVJ supported deep coverage of international affairs for which I traveled to Haiti and Cuba. I joined the team at “Tall Twelve” during an exciting time in the Cincinnati tri-state region. My first full-time TV news position after college afforded me countless opportunities to broaden my skills. In addition to the three jobs I was hired to perform, I co-produced the weekly “CrimeStoppers” campaign and contributed reports for public affairs programming.
