Bridge Street Town Centre

Bridge Street Town Centre is an upscale lifestyle center shopping center in Huntsville, Alabama, developed by O&S Holdings and designed by architects, both of Los Angeles. The center is located in Cummings Research Park at the intersection of Old Madison Pike, Interstate 565, and Research Park Boulevard (Alabama State Route 255).

Bridge Street includes 550,000 sq ft (51,000 m2) of retail space featuring a Cinemark movie theater and 80 shops and restaurants as well as a one six-story, 140,000 sq ft (13,000 m2) Class A office space building, and an eleven-story, 232 room Westin Hotel and a 150-room Element by Westin hotel. The center used to feature a 5-acre (20,000 m2) lake, but the need for a department store anchor pad and leakage problems caused most of it to be filled in.

The retail portion of the mixed-use project opened on November 1, 2007. The Westin became the first in Alabama when it opened in the Spring of 2008.

Bridge Street offers a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Among them is Altar’d State, Anthropologie, Apple, Bar Louie, Barnes and Noble, Bath and Body Works, Bed Bath and Beyond, Belk, Cantina Laredo, Connors Steak & Seafood, DSW Shoes, Francesca’s, Gap, H&M, Mountain High Outfitters, P.F. Chang’s, Sephora, The Melting Pot, Victoria’s Secret and other boutique shops.

Bridge Street Town Center Ownership Change And Expansion

In May 2012, Bridge Street was purchased from O&S Holdings by Miller Capital Advisory. In February 2013, Bayer Properties, L.L.C. was named as management and leasing company for the property. With news of the purchase, both the new owners and the city of Huntsville announced an expansion for the development.

Phase 3, which began in January 2013, includes a two-level, 170,000 square foot flagship Belk department store, 45,000 square feet of new retail space in four additional buildings, and new surface and deck parking. This addition is being built where the western portion of the lake once was located. Like several of the stores in the development, Belk moved from an existing location in the city (Madison Square Mall), leaving empty retail space behind. Belk opened at Bridge Street in Fall 2014.

388 Bridge Street Town Center

388 Bridge Street is a 590-foot residential high-rise skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn, within New York City. It contains 378 market-rate units, mixed between 234 rentals and 144 condominiums.

The building was originally under construction as an all condominium tower before the 2000s real estate crash and subsequent Great Recession. Construction halted from 2008 to 2012 due to the recession, but later resumed in 2013.

When topped out in 2013, it was the tallest building in Brooklyn, passing the four-year-old Brooklyner, until it, too, was passed by AVA DoBro. 388 Bridge Street is now the fourth-tallest in Brooklyn.

Bridge Street Town Center Theater

Bridge Street Theatre is an 84-seat production company and performance venue located in Catskill, New York. Incorporated in 2013, it is dedicated to producing new works, revisiting oft-neglected works from the theatrical canon, and approaching classic pieces from a new and different perspective.

History

In 1986, founders John Sowle and Steven Patterson created a production company called Kaliyuga Arts for the purpose of presenting off-beat, challenging work. Of the 28 plays, Kaliyuga Arts presented, eight were world premieres, three were U.S. premieres, six were regional premieres, and many others had not been seen in their respective regions for decades. As they migrated from Los Angeles to San Francisco to New York City and eventually to the Hudson Valley, Sowle and Patterson continued to present sporadically and tour occasionally, always in rented or donated spaces.

In November 2013, they purchased an old factory building on the outskirts of downtown Catskill, NY to serve as a permanent artistic home for their productions.

In 2019, the theatre will present its sixth season of in-house productions, along with an eclectic mix of theatre, dance, music, and special events brought in from outside production sources.

Bridge Street Theatre has been instrumental in the region’s cultural renaissance, thanks in part to ongoing support by New York State’s Homes and Community Renewal Program.

365 Bridge Street Town Center

Built-in 1929 as the headquarter office of the New York Telephone Company, BellTel Lofts at 365 Bridge Street in Brooklyn was considered Brooklyn’s first skyscraper. The building is a significant example of the art-deco style and was designed by Ralph Walker, who was named architect of the century by the American Institute of Architects.

Voted a landmark in 2004, the building is now owned by Clipper Equity and was converted into apartments in 2008 by Beyer Blinder Belle, the same firm behind the restoration of Grand Central Terminal and the renovation of the Domino Sugar Factory in Williamsburg.

With 219 units spread across 27 stories, this highrise has a concierge and a full-time doorman, as well as a garage, garden, children’s playroom, lounge, fitness center, and a rooftop terrace, among other amenities.
