Dan Jovic Biography

Dan Jovic has been with the NBC 6 News team since October of 2012. Prior to joining the NBC 6 News team, Dan served as the technology and new media reporter for WJW-TV in Cleveland. Over his 18 years in broadcasting Dan has worked in both news and sports, writing, editing, producing and reporting on the stories concerning viewers.

He is a life long Clevelander and is proud to say WJW Fox 8 is the only place he has worked in his broadcasting career. Also, he serves as a technology and new media reporter and producer for various editions of Fox 8 News and on Fox8.com.

After joining the Fox 8 News team in the summer of 1998, Dan began working with both the news and sports departments to write, edit, produce and eventually report on the stories concerning northeast Ohio.

Prior to his current position, Dan served as Fox 8’s sports producer, coordinating all aspects of the stations’ award-winning professional, college and high school sports coverage

Produced and reported daily interactive segments on the top-rated, locally produced 9:00 a.m. show in the U.S.

Helped launch/grow website from start-up to 28.2M unique users, 116M page views in 2011

Earned two regional Emmy awards reporting on Friday Night Touchdown, the top-rated, locally produced 30-minute sports show in the U.S. in 2011
