Deanna has been sharing stories and data with watchers for over ten years. Deanna has been named for Emmy Awards, has won a few Associated Press Awards and is a beneficiary of a Milwaukee Press Club Award.

She appreciates offering back to the network. Consistently she rides in the “Irish Pub Tour de Shore,” where she rides a bicycle from Philadelphia to Atlantic City, USA, to fund-raise for neighborhood philanthropies.

‘My father used to get such a kick out of these things that he made videotapes of my young reporting skills.’ she said.

Durante was exposed to ballet and the arts and always loved drawing. She even took art lessons at the Whitemarsh Art Center on Cedar Grove Road.

Starting high school at Plymouth Whitemarsh in 1989, Durante was a natural when she signed up for ‘PW Live,’ which was a local high school cable show. ‘I thought this activity would look good on a high school transcript for college,’ she said.

Attending Syracuse University, she really found her ‘niche’ and immersed herself in learning all she could about television and electronic journalism.

Durante and husband Tim Swan, computer operations manager at Penn, welcomed their first child, a daughter, Maya Elizabeth Swan. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces. Mom and baby are well.
