The Eagles (10-2) suffered their first home loss this season and are set to face the 9-3 Cowboys in Dallas next Sunday night, with the Cowboys trailing by just one game after defeating the Seahawks on Thursday night.

First Quarter

Jake Elliott successfully kicked a 26-yard field goal, with the drive highlighted by a crucial 38-yard reception on third-and-9 from A.J. Brown and an 11-yard gain on third down by Kenneth Gainwell. Despite the strong drive, it marked the first time since Week 8 that the Eagles couldn’t secure a touchdown in the red zone, leading to a score of Eagles 3 – 49ers 0.

Haason Reddick delivered a sack on second-and-10 against Brock Purdy, forcing the 49ers to punt after failing to convert on third-and-2.

Elliott added another field goal, this time from 39 yards, extending the Eagles’ lead to 6-0. Jalen Hurts’ slip in the backfield caused a setback, moving the offense from the San Francisco 14-yard line to the 29-yard line. Despite the successful field goals, Coach Sirianni expressed the challenge of starting the game fast and only being up by six points.

Second Quarter

The 49ers capitalized on the opportunity with a 2-yard touchdown, as Purdy connected with Brandon Aiyuk in the back corner of the end zone. The play underwent a review, but the call on the field stood. An offside penalty on Josh Sweat granted the 49ers another chance at the end zone on third down, resulting in a score of 49ers 7 – Eagles 6.

With just 38 seconds left in the half, the 49ers extended their lead when Christian McCaffrey found a gap and navigated into the end zone, bringing the score to 14-6 in favor of the 49ers. Coach Sirianni acknowledged the challenge of tackling a tough team and noted it as a somewhat uncharacteristic day for the Eagles in terms of tackling.

Third Quarter

The 49ers struck quickly on their first drive of the half. Deebo Samuel rushed to his right and found the end zone from 12 yards out. The visitors scored one play after a 33-yard pass on third-and-3 to McCaffrey. (49ers 21 – Eagles 6)

49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw was disqualified after striking Senior Advisor to the General Manager/Chief Security Officer Dom DiSandro, who was also ejected from the game.

Fourth Quarter

Hurts headed to the locker room for evaluation after spending time in the blue medical tent, being assessed for a potential concussion. During his absence, Marcus Mariota briefly stepped in on the field.

The Eagles’ struggles with missed tackles continued, leading to another 49ers touchdown. Jauan Jennings managed to evade Eli Ricks on the sideline, strolling in for an 18-yard touchdown. The score extended to 49ers 35 – Eagles 13.

Hurts returned to the game, replacing Marcus Mariota.

In a determined effort, Hurts connected with DeVonta Smith for a 2-yard touchdown, offering the Eagles a glimmer of hope. Unfortunately, the two-point conversion attempt failed when Hurts’ pass was batted down at the line of scrimmage. The score reached 49ers 35 – Eagles 19.

Samuel once again scored with a 46-yard touchdown reception, increasing the 49ers’ lead to 42 – 19.

The Eagles’ fourth-and-12 attempt proved unsuccessful as the pass fell incomplete, handing the ball back to the 49ers with just over two minutes remaining.
