Garrett Hottle Biography

Garrett Hottle is an American journalist working as a weekend meteorologist and reporter for KXXV ABC 25 News. He was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He initially attended West Texas A&M University to play football, but then fell in love with journalism and decided to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism.

Hottle joined KXXV in October 2020 as an end-of-the-week forecaster and journalist. In school, Garrett took part in the school’s News One station with news and meteorological forecasts.

He graduated in 2018 with a B.A. in broadcast news-casting and got his first situation at KMVT/KSVT in Idaho, where he won various Idaho Press Awards in climate projecting and detailing.

In his leisure time, Garrett loves watching sports and investing energy outside. He cherishes football and ball, particularly the San Antonio Spurs, which he grew up looking like a child.
