Jeff Baskin KLRT FOX16 News

Baskin is Chief Meteorologist for FOX16 News. Baskin joined the FOX16 group in January of 2009, bringing over 12 years of involvement estimating a wide range of serious climate, including typhoons, cyclones, and day off-ice storms.

Before FOX16, Baskin was a live meteorologist at WFOR in Miami, where he assisted Floridians with enduring a functioning 2008 Hurricane Season. Prior to that, Baskin was the chief meteorologist at KOIN in blustery Portland, Oregon, and the end of the week meteorologist at WVUE in New Orleans.

It was in New Orleans where Jeff acquired quite a bit of his involvement in serious climate, anticipating for a very long time along the Gulf Coast, including the overwhelming 2004 and 2005 typhoon seasons.

Baskin was working in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast, annihilating the station where he worked and immersing the local where he resided with floodwater.

During his time in New Orleans, Baskin was granted “Best Weathercast in New Orleans” twice by the New Orleans Press Club.

He started his profession in Utica, New York as a meteorologist and general task correspondent. In a spot that arrived at the midpoint of 90 creeps of snow each year, he anticipated too many significant day-off-ice storms.
