John Pierson Biography
John Pierson is an American journalist working as a sports anchor/director for WTNH 8 News. Pierson, a Connecticut local, first came to News 8 of every 1995 as a Sports Producer and has chipped away at various Connecticut games including The Connecticut Open, the Travelers Championship, UConn Football, and the UCONN people’s NCAA titles.
An alum of Southern Connecticut State University, Pierson has procured a few New England Emmy Nominations for his work. He won a 2002 New England Emmy Award for a report on the disturbed young people of previous UConn b-ball player Caron Butler.
He won a second Emmy in 2010 for a story in the UConn ladies’ hockey group. Preceding his beginning at News Channel 8 of every 1995, Pierson worked underway at ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut. Pierson’s cherished thing to do is invest energy with his four youngsters.
