Kate Hussey Biography

Kate Hussey is a New Jersey native that just moved from New York. Before joining WCTI, she worked as a Production Assistant at WNYW Fox 5 New York.

She went to Grove City College in Pennsylvania and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor’s in communication and a minor in Spanish.

In her free time, she likes to run and do anything outdoors. She loves watching football (specifically the New York Giants.) She is a big animal lover (especially cats) and is a passionate “Foodie”— she loves trying new foods!

She does miss New York pizza and bagels, but she LOVES New Bern BBQ and everything about this town so far! She always loves to chat, so don’t be afraid to say hi!

During her time at Grove City College, she had an internship at KDKA Radio in Pittsburgh and a TV News internship at WICU Erie News Now.

She has wanted to be a TV reporter ever since she started watching ESPN sports reporter Erin Andrews back in middle school, and has been pursuing a career as a journalist ever since.
