Katie Filling is an American Multimedia Journalist and reporter currently working as a reporter and multimedia journalist at FOX 28. She also worked as an anchor and reporter for Penn State’s Emmy award-winning news show the Centre County Report that reaches 29 counties in Pennsylvania. She also interned at Lancaster’s NBC affiliate WGAL-TV and Blue Ridge News 11 in Ephrata, PA.

Before landing her first reporting job, Katie interned at Fox News Channel in New York City as a production intern for their daytime news show Happening Now. She also interned at Lancaster’s NBC affiliate WGAL-TV and Blue Ridge News 11 in Ephrata, PA.
While in college, she was correspondent for The Underreported, a weekly Facebook show hosted by Martin Rather. The show was posted to Dan Rather’s News and Guts website each week. Katie was also an anchor and reporter for Penn State’s Emmy award-winning news show the Centre County Report that reaches 29 counties in Pennsylvania.
Katie has a passion for people and storytelling. She wants to use her voice to shine a light on the issues facing people in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry. She can’t wait to dive into the Savannah community and tell the positive and unique stories that make this area so special.
