Leigh Mills Biography
Leigh Mills is an American anchor currently working at NBC 15 News. She was born in Cortland, Ohio but she now considers southern Wisconsin her home.
She has been at NBC 15 for more than 15 years. She attended Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and graduated with a major in Broadcast-Journalism and a minor in French.
She also spent 3 of her years studying in tours, France at the Institut de Touraine. She was studying journalism at Northwestern University through its Radio, TV, and Film program as a high school senior.
She got married to her best friend and the couple has two children together. She also has 2 adopted kids and a dog, Bella. She enjoys reading and horse riding as well. She is also a big fan of the Cleveland Browns.

Mills joined NBC 15 News on September 17th, 2003 and she has been there since then. She spent 11 of her years as the 5,6 and 10 pm news anchor before she adjusted her schedule so that she could have more time with her two boys. The adjustments took place in 2017.
In 2005, Leigh Mills was the 5 pm and 10 pm reporter and a weekend anchor back in 2004. In 2003, she was a general assignment reporter. She moved from Ohio to Madison where she spent 4 years as a reporter, anchor, producer, and she would sometimes take the photography role and editor at WOUB-TV in Athens, Ohio.
Leigh Mills has also worked at a Government Channel in Athens where she was the host of an election show. She used to cover the city government news. She was an intern during the summer at WCHS-TV located in Charleston, West Virginia.
