Melissa Payne is an American journalist working as a news anchor for WLBT News. Melissa was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and graduated from Alcorn State University.

Melissa has four young sons; Myles, Mason, Maxwell, and Matthew. When Melissa isn’t bringing you the latest headlines, she likes to spend time with her family, cook, read and hit the gym.

Payne is the evening reporter for WLBT and Fox 40 News. Her first TV work sent her to Salt Lake City, Utah where she filled in as a maker. She then, at that point, get back to Mississippi, where she accepted a position as an anchor and columnist at WMDN in Meridian.
