Robbin Simmons is an American journalist working as an anchor for WSVN 7News Miami. She was born in Chicago and attended the University of Iowa. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies.

She has a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University. She enjoys foreign films, traveling, baking, and getting to know viewers on social media during her free time.

Simmons got back to WSVN to co-anchor the end-of-the-week versions of 7 NEWS at 5, 6, and 10. Robbin was an anchor/columnist at WDIV-TV in Detroit since 2004.

Before WDIV, Robbin went through three years at WSVN as an overall task columnist and was immediately elevated to Saturday morning end of the week anchor.

During her time at WSVN, she covered everything from the Elian Gonzalez adventure, Timothy McVeigh’s execution, and the 2000 Presidential political race. Robbin covered the 2009 Presidential Inauguration and in March 2014, headed out to Vatican City for President Obama’s visit to Pope Francis.
