Kanady grew up in Concord and is grateful to be back home telling the stories of such wonderful people in and around the Charlotte area.

She attended Central Cabarrus High School. After graduating, she went to Furman University.

She was a secondary school and school team promoter Go Vikings and Paladins! After school, she began her profession as an advanced columnist at WJWJ-TV in Beaufort, SC.

At that point, she stirred her way up to the state capital in Columbia, where some portion of her beat was covering the SC assembly for WOLO-TV.

She was designated for an Emmy for proceeding with the inclusion of a plane accident, and she won an honor for shopper and financial revealing from the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas.
