Ron Hilliard Biography

Ron Hilliard joined the NBC 25/FOX 66 News team as a reporter in December 2018. The Detroit native previously reported and anchored at TV Warren in Warren, Michigan. He also worked as a freelance reporter at WNEM-TV in Saginaw and Flint.

He returns to Michigan from WJET-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania. For more than two years, he covered a variety of events, including a 2017 lake effect snow event that dropped seven feet between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. So, Michigan bring it on!

You may have seen him on national television or the big screen. He was a finalist and original cast member of America’s Next Weatherman (2015), a competition reality shows that aired on TBS. He made appearances in films like Real Steel (2011), Alex Cross (2012), and Oz the Great and Powerful (2013).

Ron, a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, is a graduate of Michigan State University and Specs Howard School of Media Arts in Southfield. He also studied at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico for a year.
