Steve Stucker Beds

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – There’s a major effort underway to make sure children in New Mexico have a bed to sleep in at night.

The non-profit Beds 4 Kidz, founded by KOB’s Stucker”, was busy accepting donations Wednesday morning.

“This is a huge donation, I think there’s a 128 of these, but it will go really quickly,” Stucker said.

The donations came from American Home Tempurpedic.

“Tempurpedic just feels it’s important to give back to New Mexico because American Home has been here for 80 years and this is our home,” said Jack Freed, senior buyer for American Home.

The two companies said they spent a year working out the logistics to make the $200,000 donation.

“It is a big effort but very well worth it, time very well spent,” said Freed.
