Joe Gorman joined the WKBN 27 First News digital team in September 2019 as a digital reporter. Joe is a lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley, graduating from Ursuline High School in 1985 and later Youngstown State University in 1995, where he earned a degree in history.
An established and experienced journalist, spending his career working in print media before joining WKBN-27, Joe began his career with The Record Argus newspaper from 1995 to 1997.
In 1999, Joe joined the Warren Tribune Chronicle, establishing himself as a well-known and respected reporter until 2013. His career then took him to the Youngstown Vindicator from 2013 until 2019.

His journalism career has earned Joe a number of accolades and awards including a 2013 Associated Press award as a top beat news writer. He has also received notice for Best Public Service in 2015 and Best Breaking News in 2017.
