Kristin Sanchez Interview

Now that you’ve tackled organizing your stash at home, here’s new inspo for paring down your portable beauty products. FBP had the pleasure of speaking to the always prepared Kristin Sanchez, our favorite Ft. Myers morning traffic anchor and reporter at WINK News, who’s heading to Miami’s WTVJ this spring.

Kristin’s day-to-day duties vary, and when she’s sent to cover a breaking news story, all kinds of conditions – including our insane wind or local massive fires – are commonplace.

Yet she always looks perfect. Having spotted her at an event, nosy me asked for a peek at her bag to see her on-the-go beauty must-haves.

It was a lesson in less is more.

FBP’s Ultra-Quick Interview with Kristin Sanchez

FBP: You always look perfectly polished when covering stories outside the studio. What are your go-to products?

SANCHEZ: When you’re out in the field reporting, breaking news can come at a moment’s notice. There are always a few things I like to have on hand when I’m in a time crunch.

First, a bright lipstick for a pop of color. Then some light powder to get rid of any shine. And, and last but not least, hair balm is a must!

I’m a loyal MAC Cosmetics gal. The products last forever and always make my skin look great.

For my long locks, I stick with Brazilian Blowout products. Their Açai Protective Strengthening Balm keeps my hair smooth and in place, especially when the weather turns humid.

FBP: On hot days, what are your melt-proof makeup products?

SANCHEZ: I love using MAC Prep + Prime Fix, a lightweight water mist that gently soothes and refreshes skin and finishes makeup. Perfect for Florida’s steamy summer days.
