Mindy Casso Biography

Mindy Casso is an American journalist working as an anchor for KGNS TV News. She was born and raised in Laredo. Her passion for communications began upon graduating from United High School in 1986.

Recognizing the need for quality outreach efforts in the field of communications, Mindy chose to major in Journalism, with a concentration in Public Relations.

She received her BA from Southwest Texas State University, now Texas State University, in San Marcos, Texas, in 1990. Since then, she has spent the last 21 years working in the communications field.

Mindy and her significant other Peter have two children, Peter, Jr., and Michael. They as of now go to St. Augustine School where Mindy fills in as a chosen board part, Jamaica Chairperson, mentor of Michael’s kindergarten b-ball group this previous year (when the group made the end of the season games!).

Mindy is a committed mother who says raising her two young men isn’t just the most difficult occupation she’s always held yet, in addition, the most fulfilling.

Mindy Casso KGNS News

Casso, the long-lasting inhabitant of Laredo, comes into our homes practically consistently, filling in as the Pro-8 News Today and the Pro-8 News at Noon co-anchor. Since graduating, she has gone through the most recent 21 years working in the correspondences field.

Mindy is a functioning individual from the local area, having filled in as a board individual from a few non-benefit organizations: the International Good Neighbor Council, United Way of Laredo, Junior Achievement, the Imaginarium of South Texas, Leadership Laredo, and the Gateway Rotary Club.

As a Rotarian, Mindy accepted Rotary’s most noteworthy honor—the Paul Harris Award—in 2000 and got a few first spot grants for her plan of the Rotary Bulletin.

In 2002, Mindy was drafted into United High School’s Longhorn Legends for her work in interchanges and has acquired a few different honors for her local area contribution. Mindy attributes her immovable hard-working attitude to her Mom, Nellie R. Trust, who acquired a few degrees.

Mindy’s dad has alluded to her as steady in her life. His affection for his kids has consistently been unrestricted, and consistently, he stays probably Mindy’s greatest fan!
