Pat Walker Biography

Pat Walker is an American journalist working as a meteorologist for KLRT FOX16 News. He is originally from Ward, Arkansas.

He attended Cabot High School and then headed to UCA in Conway and graduated with a B.A. in History. Pat and his family attended Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock.

Pat joined the Arkansas Storm Team in March 2013. He’s broadcasting live workday mornings on Fox 16 Good Day and on our sister station’s KARK 4 Today.

Pat is likewise the meteorologist for Arkansas Today workdays around early afternoon on KARK. following five years of different positions including youth pastoring, Pat took off to Mississippi State to contemplate Meteorology where he acquired his M.S. in Geosciences.

It was at Mississippi State he met his significant other, Kim, who is likewise a meteorologist. They have been honored with three kids. Pat didn’t grow up with a craving to be a meteorologist, yet our wacky Arkansas climate affects him.

Regardless of whether it was knee-high snow to drop school when he was a child or awful twister episodes like March 1, 1997, and January 21, 1999, Pat recalls that them like they were yesterday.

Growing up, he spent virtually every twister and serious rainstorm cautioning underground in his family’s patio tornado shelter. Pat has worked at stations in Columbus, Mississippi; San Angelo, Texas; Lawton, Oklahoma; and Davenport, Iowa.

Yet, when a Hog-Caller, consistently a Hog-Caller. As a Razorback fan, Pat is happy to live in his home state once more.

Pat is a holder of the Broadcaster Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association, and a champ of the Weather Broadcast of the Year from the Oklahoma Broadcaster’s Association.
