Sandra Bookman is an American television news reporter and weekend anchor who works as a reporter and anchor at WABC-TV in New York City.

Bookman graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in journalism and currently lives in Manhattan.

In 1998, she joined Eyewitness News as a reporter and was later named as a weekend anchor of Eyewitness News. She now works as a reporter and anchor at WABC-TV in New York City as well as a co-anchor of the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. weekend editions of Eyewitness News.

Bookman previously as a weekend anchor at both Raleigh, North Carolina’s WRAL-TV and in Beaumont, Texas’ KFDM. She has also worked at WSB-TV in Atlanta, an ABC affiliate where she worked for nine years and served as the weekend anchor.

For seven years, Bookman served as an Olympic Reporter. At that time, she was the only local TV reporter to cover the games from before Atlanta won the bid, until the Olympic bombing in 1996.

Bookman has won three Emmy Awards for her reporting including Olympic Coverage and also for her coverage of Valuejet Airlines Crash in the Everglades.
